Volunteer Hospice to offer series of grief classes in Port Angeles beginning Thursday

PORT ANGELES – Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County is offering an educational series for people facing the challenge of living after losing a loved one.

The first class of the Survivors’ 4-Week Workshop will be Thursday.

The workshop offers answers to everyday problems and provides resources for adapting to changes.

Space is limited. Register by phoning 360-452-1511.

The free series will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 301 E. Lopez St., in Port Angeles from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on four Thursdays through July 30.

■   Class 1, this Thursday — “Financial Management,” presented by Phil Castell of Castell Insurance and Mark Harvey of Clallam County Agency on Aging Senior Information and Assistance.

■   Class 2, July 16 — “Home Maintenance,” presented by Harry Gravatte of Gravatte Construction.

■   Class 3, July 23 — “Self-Care,” presented by Debby Smith, RN, and the Rev. Maggie Bourne-Raiswell.

■   Class 4, July 30 — “Cooking for One,” presented by Carol R. Vincent-Hall, N.D., and Marilyn Nelsen, Ph.D.

Volunteer Hospice of Clallam provides compassionate care for the terminally ill and their families. All services are free.
