The North Olympic Peninsula’s registered voters had returned 23.1 percent of the Nov. 8 general election ballots mailed to Clallam County voters and 30.6 percent of the ballots mailed to Jefferson County voters as of Friday.
In Clallam County, 11,675 ballots had been returned out of 50,648 mailed to registered voters on Oct. 19.
In Jefferson County, 7,440 ballots were returned out of 24,316 mailed.
As of 5 p.m. Friday, voters statewide had returned 728,057 ballots, or 17.2 percent, of the 4,242,290 ballots mailed, according to the Washington Secretary of State Office.
Voting continues until 8 p.m. Nov. 8. Ballots must be postmarked by that date or dropped off no later than 8 p.m. Nov. 8 at auditor offices or at drop boxes.
For disabled voters, a voting terminal is available at county auditor’s offices.
Voters who need replacement ballots should contact their county auditor’s office. They also may access a printable ballot via the secure website MyVote at www.myvote.wa.gov.
