SEQUIM — Crews continued to work this afternoon on a small power outage in the area of Chicken Coop Road after initial outages this morning that affected nearly 1,100 Clallam County Public Utility District customers near Sequim.
The initial outages occurred between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. in the Diamond Point and Bell Hill areas, and along Happy Valley and Chicken Coop roads, according to Clallam PUD spokesman Michael Howe.
These outages affected about 1,095 customers.
The cause of the outages was not immediately known, but they are likely weather related, Howe said.
As of 1:30 p.m., Howe said the outage in the area of Chicken Coop Road remained. There was no estimated time for restoring power to the customers still affected.
