Two Port Townsend men airlifted to Harborview after rollover on Marrowstone

PORT TOWNSEND — Two Port Townsend men in their early 20s were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle early Wednesday morning following a one-vehicle rollover at East Marrowstone and Meade roads, according to Jefferson County Detective Sgt. Brett Anglin.

About 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, an East Marrowstone Road resident reported hearing a vehicle pass her house at high speed, then heard sounds consistent with a collision, Anglin wrote in a Wednesday morning email.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies located the vehicle with two men outside of it.

Anglin wrote that both men were injured and it was suspected they had been ejected from the vehicle.

They were airlifted to Harborview.

The sheriff’s office received assistance from the Washington State Patrol to investigate the scene and the roadway was likely to be closed for several hours Wednesday.

Anglin said he couldn’t release the two men’s names. The driver was a 21-year-old man and the passenger was a 23-year-old man, both from Port Townsend.
