FORKS — A Forks driver and her passenger were injured Sunday when the car they were riding in rolled on U.S. Highway 101 just north of Forks, the State Patrol said.
Jessica N. Bos, 28, was traveling southbound when the 1997 Honda Accord she was driving fishtailed, left the roadway to the left and came to a rest on its side near milepost 196, according to a State Patrol collision memo.
Bos and a 24-year-old passenger, Russell L. Harrison, also of Forks, were taken to Forks Community Hospital after the 10:36 p.m. crash, troopers said.
A hospital spokeswoman was not immediately available to provide conditions for Bos and Harrison on Monday.
The State Patrol said Bos became distracted before the crash. She was cited for second-degree negligent driving and speeding, troopers said in the collision memo.
Bos was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the State Patrol.
Harrison was wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
