PORT ANGELES — Two drivers were injured in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 101 near the intersection with Olympic Hot Springs Road west of Port Angeles this afternoon.
The road-blocking wreck was reported at about 3:35 p.m. at milepost 240.
A Ford F150 traveling eastbound on Highway 101 crossed the center line and crashed into a van that was traveling westbound, Trooper Chelsea Hodgson said.
She said the male driver of the van was injured but that the woman and two children in the van were uninjured. The drive of the truck was injured and the other occupant of the truck was uninjured.
Identifications were not available this afternoon.
One lane of the highway remained blocked at 4 p.m. today, with alternating traffic in the eastbound lane.
The driver of the pickup was arrested for investigation of vehicular assault, Hodgson said.
