TRAFFIC ALERT — ALL CLEAR: Both lanes of state Highway 112 open after log truck loses load

ALL CLEAR: Both lanes reopened to traffic at 1:23 p.m. today.

CLALLAM BAY — State Highway 112 was partially closed for about five and a half hours Monday due to an overturned log truck.

The log truck, which spilled its load on the road and shoulder at about 8 a.m., blocked the eastbound lane of the highway at Milepost 32 in the Clallam Bay area, said Trooper Russ Winger, spokesman for the State Patrol.

Traffic alternated using the westbound lanes, and the road closed briefly so equipment could remove the logs and right the log truck and trailer, Winger said.

The driver of the truck received minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital, Winger said.

Winger said the cause of the wreck was “speed too fast for conditions.”
