Toastmasters to hold livestream event

SEQUIM — The Skwim Toastmasters will host “Get Out of Your Speaking Box” from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The free public speaking workshop will live-streamed on the Zoom internet meeting platform.

Toastmasters Terry Barrett, Karen Tyson, Linda Christenson, Candis Connelly, Sonya Zohar and Jeff Clinton will lead participants through 1- to 2-minute speaking assignments known as table topics.

The purpose of table topics it to force speakers out of their comfort zone or their “Speaking Box,” so they can improve their skills.

A link to the meeting is available at the club’s website, 907529.toastmastersclubs.org.
