Tickets available for Madrigal Dinner this weekend in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — “Hear Ye! Hear Ye!” His Majesty, King Henry of Thermopolis, announces an invitation to the eighth annual Madrigal Dinner this coming weekend.

The dinner theater event hosted by Port Angeles High School’s choir program will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

All shows will be in the Port Angeles High School cafeteria, 304 E. Park Ave., and will showcase more than 50 student performers.

Tickets are $25 per person. Seating is limited.

“The dinner is set in the 1500s,” Choral Director Jolene Dalton Gailey said.

“The high school cafeteria will again be transformed into a castle.

“As in the 16th century, there will be no utensils; everyone will eat with their hands.”

Music and storytelling will accompany a four-course dinner prepared by Sodexo Services.

This year, a select women’s choir, Bella Voce, will be added to the dinner entertainment.

Wassail will be served. The entree will be honeyed chicken skewers accompanied by twice-baked potatoes and green beans.

For ticket information, contact Dalton Gailey at 360-565-1535 or jgailey@portangelesschools.org.
