PORT ANGELES — Three people had minor injuries after a vehicle rear-ended another at U.S. Highway 101 and Mount Pleasant Road at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday
Martha Hartsel, 61, of Beaver was stopped in her 2001 Mercury Villager at the stoplight at Mount Pleasant Road and Eulah Anderson, 65, of Port Angeles hit her from behind in her 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser, the State Patrol said in a news release.
Anderson, who suffered back soreness, was taken to Olympic Medical Center by family where she was treated and discharged, State Patrol said.
Her vehicle suffered $1,500 in damage, according to the State Patrol’s report.
Hartsel and her passenger, Mamie Morales, 37, of Forks, were taken to Olympic Medical Center where both were treated for sore necks and backs and discharged, State Patrol said.
Hartsel’s vehicle was a total loss, State Patrol said.
Everyone was wearing seat belts at the time of the wreck and neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected as contributing factors to the wreck, State Patrols aid.
Anderson was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
