SEQUIM – It’s a really big show, the biggest ever, and due to destruction, it’s going on the road. Across the road, that is.
The morning after the city shut down the Olympic Theatre Arts building, the theater group’s production of “Auntie Mame” is set to move to the Sequim High School Performing Arts Center for its last laughs.
“Mame’s” sets, costumes, props and cast of 26 “couldn’t be ready in time” for a scheduled performance tonight, said OTA’s managing director, Lee Harwell.
But the curtain will rise at 7 p.m. Saturday and finally at 2 p.m. Sunday on the show in the high school’s 700-seat auditorium.
There’s plenty of room for all ticket holders plus those who purchase at the door, Harwell said.
