A 17-year-old boy will be arraigned today in Clallam County juvenile court for felony forgery and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
The boy is accused of counterfeiting $1,000 in U.S. currency with the intent to spend the money in Canada, court records show. The boy was charged last Thursday.
Customs Canada officials detained the boy last Wednesday when he attempted to enter Victoria, court records show. Canadian officials seized the counterfeit $1,000 and sent the boy back to Port Angeles, where federal agents interviewed him.
