OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Teachers are invited to join NatureBridge and the National Park Service for Learning from a Distance, a four-day summer workshop in Olympic National Park to be held Aug. 7-10.
Participants — teachers of kindergarten through 12th grade — will arrive at the NatureBridge campus in Olympic National Park located on the shores of Lake Crescent by 1 p.m., Monday Aug. 7 and leave at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10.
The tuition for the workshop is $200. The National Park Service will provide free clock hours and 100 percent tuition reimbursement with course completion and submission of a lesson plan, the park service said in a press release.
Participants will hear from National Park Service rangers and researchers, discover the resources of Olympic National Park and learn ways to connect students to the park via technology, organizers said.
