It’s a mixed bag for outdoors enthusiasts looking to enjoy this weekend after Christmas.
Skiers should rejoice — if all goes as planned, the ski area at Hurricane Ridge will open Sunday. It would be the first opening of the season.
On the other hand, anglers need not go farther than their living rooms. The same storm which brought snow to Hurricane Ridge this week delivered large amounts of rain to the West End.
Rivers were out of shape Thursday afternoon with another storm forecast for today. If National Weather Service predictions are correct, it could be awhile before West End streams are back in shape.
