PORT TOWNSEND — City building officials on Wednesday agreed to lift the partial stop-work order for renovating the former Port Townsend Lumber building.
A city building inspector halted exterior work on the building Monday after noticing some unapproved changes in the exterior design.
The building’s developer, Kirkland-based Nicholson Investment Properties, sent its representatives to iron out the design revisions, finally accepted by the Port Townsend Design Review Advisory Committee on Wednesday.
The changes, noticed by an inspector, constituted removal of brick work and the alterations in a roof line in the building’s back wall.
The building will host a controversial Hollywood Video outlet.
