SEQUIM — “Picasso at the Lapin Agile,” a play written by actor and comedian Steve Martin, opens this week at Olympic Theatre Arts with a specially priced preview Thursday.
In “Agile,” Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein, each on the verge of a big idea, meet in a Paris cafe in 1904.
Along with the bartender, the bartender’s girlfriend, Picasso’s love interest, an art dealer and a few other patrons, they engage in a conversation about genius and talent.
Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Thursday at OTA, 414 N. Sequim Ave., and on that night only, admission will be $10 at the door, or free for OTA members.
Once “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” opens Friday, tickets will range from $10 to $16, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays through July 26.
One pay-what-you-will show is set for Thursday, July 16.
