QUILCENE — A British Columbia motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Saturday after running into the back of a car on U.S. Highway 101 at the turnoff to the Falls View Campground, the State Patrol said.
Gregory A. Falls, 68, of Port Alberni, B.C., was not listed as a patient at the hospital on Sunday, according to a spokesperson.
The Washington State Patrol cited him for following too closely after the 3:39 p.m. Saturday wreck.
Troopers said that Falls, traveling northbound on Highway 101, failed to stop his Kawasaki and ran into the back of the Volvo driven by Aaron E. Stock, 53, of Olympia, who was stopped with his turn signal on to turn left into the campground.
Stock was not hurt, the State Patrol said.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the wreck; Falls was wearing a helmet while Stock was wearing a seat belt; and both vehicles had reportable damage, troopers said.
