State GOP chairman to speak at Lincoln Day events

Caleb Heimlich, chairman of the state Republican Party, will provide the keynote address at Lincoln Day events in Clallam and Jefferson counties April 27.

Tickets are available now for the Lincoln Day Lunch in Jefferson County, which will be at 11 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St., in Port Townsend and the Lincoln Day Dinner in Clallam County, which will be at The Cedars at Dungeness at 1965 Woodcock Road in Sequim. The dinner will begin with a 5 p.m. social hour featuring a no host bar and light appetizers, with dinner at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the Clallam County dinner are $60 for a single ticket and $110 for a couple until April 10. After that, tickets will be $75 per person and $140 per couple. All ticket holders will be entered into a drawing for a special gift at the dinner. The Lincoln Day Dinner also will have items for silent and live auction.

Tickets for the Jefferson County lunch are $45 for one and $85 for a couple for members. Non-members will pay $50 for one and $95 for two. Additional lunches after the purchase of two are $40, with student lunches $30. GBF will cater the lunch.

Tickets can be purchased on county GOP websites.

Heimlich was hired as the state Republican Party’s political director in 2011. He was promoted to the position of executive director for the state party in 2013. In 2016 he was given the additional title of “chief of staff.”

He became chairman of the party in 2018, winning more than 70 percent of the vote, said organizers of the events.

Heimlich will speak about the future of the state Republican Party, as well as the political atmosphere in the state.
