PORT ANGELES — Cole Uvila drained a varsity career-high 24 points and Hayden McCartney added 21 to spark the Port Angeles boys basketball team to a crucial Olympic League win Thursday night.
The Roughriders held off the Olympic Trojans 68-58 to improve to 9-3 in league to stay tied with Sequim for second place.
“I was pleased how we played,” coach Wes Armstrong said.
“Olympic makes you play an ugly style of basketball. But I was proud of the way we came back for the knockout in the fourth quarter.”
The Riders outscored the Trojans 41-31 in the second half after the teams tied 27-all at halftime.
