The end of the Labor Day weekend signals the return of students to classrooms across the North Olympic Peninsula.
Port Townsend and Brinnon start their school years today when students return to classes. Brinnon’s school accommodates kindergarten through eighth grade; high school students go to school in Quilcene.
Quillayute Valley (Forks area), Sequim and Crescent districts open their doors to students Wednesday morning.
Neah Bay and Clallam Bay schools, which comprise the Cape Flattery School District, open Thursday as do classes in the Quilcene district.
Port Angeles and Chimacum students have a few more days of summer vacation left, with classes in those two districts beginning Monday.
Fall quarter classes at Peninsula College are scheduled to begin Sept. 22.
