Meetings and events across the North Olympic Peninsula have been canceled because of severe weather.
Among the many cancellations are the following announcements:
â– The Clallam County Public Utility Commission work session, which was set for today in Port Angeles to discuss the proposed Carlsborg sewer project.
■Tuesday’s Port Angeles City Council. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday, when it will begin at 6 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
■A program to raise awareness of human trafficking that Soroptimist International of Port Angeles — Jet Set had set for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Port Angeles Senior Center.
â– A program on gorilla trekking and sustainable farming projects in Rwanda and Uganda, which was set for today at the Dungeness Schoolhouse.
It has been postponed until 7 p.m. Friday.
â– Two scheduled Dungeness Water Management open houses about proposed changes in water management in the Dungeness River watershed, one Tuesday and one today, in the Guy Cole Center at Carrie Blake Park.
■The Sequim School Board’s regular meeting Tuesday, as well as meetings set today and Thursday with the McPherson & Jacobson, a superintendent search firm and a special School Board meeting that was set for Thursday.
â– A meeting of the Olympic Medical Center commissioners set today. The next meeting of the commissioners will be Wednesday, Feb. 1.
â– A Brinnon School Board meeting and presentation on its proposed levy measure set Tuesday was postponed until Monday.
The levy presentation will be at 5 p.m., with the School Board meeting at
6 p.m. Both will be at the Brinnon School Library, 46 Schoolhouse Road.
â– The Technical Team of the North Olympic Peninsula Lead Entity for Salmon will not meet in person today but will talk in a conference call, said Cheryl Baumann, coordinator.
