SEQUIM — Workers used sledgehammers this week to remove unsalvageable parts of a mural on Lehman’s Market, but many sections of the painting were saved during work completed last week.
Volunteers loaded parts of the mural that could be saved onto trucks to be moved to storage.
The Sequim-Dungeness Museum and Arts Center volunteered to store some of the mural. Salvaged sections of the mural may eventually become part of a new mural to be painted on the museum on West Cedar Street.
