SEQUIM — A 67-year-old Sequim woman was reported in serious condition Monday night at a Seattle hospital after she was thrown out of a sport utility vehicle that rolled over on U.S. Highway 101 on Monday.
The Washington State Patrol identified the woman as Janet Barrett, who suffered a head injury.
The patrol’s accident report said Barrett was traveling westbound when her vehicle crossed onto the right shoulder of the road between the Simdars Road and Sequim Avenue interchanges.
It then skidded across the eastbound lane and rolled over, troopers said.
