SEQUIM — Seven appeals asking for complete environmental studies have been filed against two regional shopping centers proposed in Sequim.
The appeals cite environmental, traffic and other concerns.
Wal-Mart is proposing a two-building “superstore” complex covering approximately 195,000 square feet on the northwest corner of the intersection West Washington Street and Priest Road.
AVB Development, of Scottsdale, Ariz., has applied for approval of a 12-building, 395,000-square-foot center across the street from Wal-Mart. AVB’s tenants include The Home Depot and Albertsons Food & Drug Store.
