Sequim: Schools superintendent finalists to visit this week

The three finalists to be Sequim’s next schools superintendent are visiting the city today, Wednesday and Thursday.

The public will have a chance to meet the candidates between 3:45 p.m. and 5 p.m. each day.

Garn Christensen, currently superintendent of the Chewelah School District, will be in Sequim today. Donald Brannam, director of learning, instruction and staff development for the Anacortes School District, visits on Wednesday. Chimacum Superintendent Mary Lynne Derrington, a former Port Angeles school administrator, visits Thursday.

School board members are expected to decide Monday on who will succeed Mike Joyner, who leaves at the end of the school year.
