SEQUIM — School Board members hired two district administrators Monday night.
Vincent Riccobene is the new Helen Haller Elementary School principal, and Leon Warner is the new Sequim High School assistant principal.
Chosen from 27 applicants, Riccobene, teaches sixth grade at Blake Lake Elementary School in the Tumwater School District near Olympia. He has completed his administrative internship, according to Supt. Mike Joyner.
Riccobene succeeds Ken Lemley, who has been Helen Haller’s principal for more than 20 years. Lemley will stay on at the school as a counselor.
Warner, chosen from 42 applicants, has two years of high school teaching experience and has been dean of students at Timberline High School in Thurston County.
