SEQUIM — School District officials are ready to ask voters again to pass a reduced maintenance and operations levy — but for less money this time.
Stung by the double election failure of a three-year, $8.2 million levy proposal earlier this year, the School Board is expected to call for a $4.52 million levy try, probably early next year.
The $4.52 million levy would last two years, according to a presentation last week by Sequim Schools Superintendent Mike Joyner.
The School Board could adopt a resolution fixing a levy rate as early as a board meeting on Oct. 15, board member Elna Kawal said.
