SEQUIM — A woman who police believe has been stealing wallets from distracted Safeway shoppers was booked into the Clallam County jail Friday evening.
Faith Joy MacGreggor, 35, of Sequim was booked for investigation of second-degree burglary and second-degree theft.
She is being held without bail, authorities said Saturday.
Police received three reports from women saying their wallets had been stolen, according to a statement from the Police Department, which credited the security camera system at the Sequim Safeway store, 680 W. Washington St., for assisting in the investigation.
