SEQUIM — Several members of Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center are concerned officials are not budgeting enough money to hire certified instructors.
“Fitness instructor pay amounts to about 6 percent of the facility’s wages and salaries, yet the instructors are arguably the only employees who make any contribution to the bottom line,” said Annette Huenke, who organized the petition drive.
More than 25 people signed a petition voicing concern on the budgeting process.
Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center board members were presented the petition last Tuesday.
