Sequim: Irrigation Festival activities resume today

SEQUIM — The 108th Sequim Irrigation Festival resumes today as the two-week event builds to a crescendo of weekend activities.

Arts events highlight today’s schedule of activities starting with Art Flair, Greywolf Elementary School’s art show and sale benefiting the volunteer art program.

The school is at 171 Carlsborg Road and the show is in the hallways from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Sequim Arts annual members art show and sale is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 595 N. Fifth Ave.

Sequim Arts members will demonstrate their techniques in addition to showing their work.

Sequim Prairie Garden Club holds its Silver Tea from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St.

At the same time Peninsula Driftwood Artists have their juried show at Pioneer Memorial Park, celebrating its 33rd year.

Past winners’ driftwood pieces will be on display and members will demonstrate techniques of turning ordinary driftwood into objects d’art.

Carnival gates open at 5 p.m. at the athletic field in the 200 block of West Fir Street.
