SEQUIM — The United Way of Clallam County is accepting applications for funding by the city’s Human Services program.
The City Council authorized $24,500 to be spent this year on health and human service programs benefiting people living within the Sequim School District.
Council members Trina Berg and John Beitzel identified three areas — early childhood, health care and programs that serve people who “fall through the cracks.”
In previous years, the funds had been commingled with county funds to address local needs.
This year, United Way will administer the funds.
