PORT HADLOCK — Naval Magazine Indian Island will conduct security training exercises Tuesday and Thursday.

The exercise Tuesday will involve security boats on the water near the pier’s port security barrier and the use of blank ammunition, loud sirens and bright blue flashing lights.

Training activities Thursday will take place within the magazines boundaries but may create increased noise that the public might notice

The Navy said it conducts security exercises at installations across the world to ensure readiness and verify response procedures.
