NAVAL MAGAZINE INDIAN ISLAND — Naval Magazine Indian Island will conduct a security training exercise from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.
According to a press release, the exercises will take place in the vicinity of the installation’s front gate near Indian Island County Park.
During the exercise, community members living in surrounding areas might hear loud sirens, see blue flashing lights and notice an increased security presence.
The Navy routinely conducts these types of security exercises, which ensures readiness and verifies response procedures.
