SHINE — Overnight closures of the Hood Canal bridge on state Highway 104 that had been rescheduled for today through Saturday have been canceled.
The closures have not been rescheduled, although the work that they were scheduled to allow has not been completed yet.
The night-time closures originally were planned to allow work crews to replace worn shock absorbers on the bridge, but that work depends on the completion of work on the bridge’s center locks, which is ongoing, according to a WSDOT press release.
The Department of Transportation will announce when the replacement of the shock absorbers, with the accompanying overnight closures, has been rescheduled.
