PORT ANGELES — High winds in Clallam County are causing scattered outages, the Clallam Public Utility District reported at 11 a.m. today.
At that time, less than 100 customers were without power, said Mike Howe, PUD spokesman.
About 199 Jefferson County PUD customers were without power, according to the PUD map online at www.jeffpud.org/.
Both PUDs have crews at work.
“Estimated times of restoration are difficult to determine because the outages are scattered and individualized in places,” Howe said in a press release.
The Jefferson County PUD tweeted at about 10:30 this morning that calls were coming in for an outage in the Old Eaglemount Road area.
“An on-call crew has been notified. No known cause at this time.”
High winds are expected to continue throughout the day, Howe said.
