Registration open for teacher workshop at ONP

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Teachers can now register for “Learning from a Distance,” a four-day summer workshop at the NatureBridge campus.

The workshop will be offered Monday through Thursday, Aug. 7-10 at the campus, 111 Barnes Point Road.

Tuition for the event is $200.

Participants will hear from park rangers and researchers, discover national park educational resources, and learn ways to connect students to the park via technology.

Additionally, participants will collaborate with grade-level peers in creating classroom content and explore different national park ecosystems that might include the Hoh Rain Forest, Ruby Beach and Hurricane Ridge.

The National Park Service will provide free clock hours and 100 percent tuition reimbursement with course completion and submission of a lesson plan.

To register, visit naturebridge.org/olympicteachers.
