SEQUIM — American Red Cross disaster nurse Shirley Williams will discuss disaster response and emergency preparedness at the Dungeness Schoolhouse on Sunday.
Williams’ talk will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the schoolhouse at 2781 Towne Road.
She will also provide the latest information from the Red Cross on the massive March 11 quake and tsunami in Japan.
In addition, she will discuss her experiences in disaster response over the past decade, including to such events as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina.
The presentation is one of several programs offered by the Museum & Arts Center in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley — or MAC — at the Dungeness Schoolhouse throughout March in observance of Women’s History Month.
Admission at the door is $5 for MAC members and $8 for nonmembers.
