Rangers seek information about missing woman as search continues

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Rangers are asking for information from the public about a woman who has been missing from the Lake Crescent area since Monday, park officials said.

The search continued Saturday for the woman, Lena Lang, 35, of Federal Way who was last seen on an inflatable Pegasus raft west of Barnes Point on Lake Crescent at 5:35 p.m. Monday.

Park authorities said in a press release issued Friday that rangers had received a tip that on May 27 a woman was seen carrying a deflated unicorn raft out of the woods and drove away in a dark colored SUV between the hours of 5:20 p.m. and 6 p.m. from a lakeside pull out near mile marker 226.

“The woman in question is not the missing woman, Lena Lang,” the park said in the release.

Park officials ask that anyone who may have seen this SUV or woman call or text Olympic National Park on the Investigative Tip Line at 888-653-0009.

“You don’t have to tell us who you are, but please tell us what you know,” the release said. “Information from other visitors and boaters is often extremely valuable during searches.”
