Quilt, handicrafts exhibit at Port Angeles museum

PORT ANGELES — A new temporary exhibit has been installed at the Museum at the Carnegie.

“Quilting and Handicrafts,” which features a selection of quilts from the Clallam County Historical Society’s collection, ranging from the late 1800s to modern examples, will be on display through May.

The museum, at 207 S. Lincoln St., is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. Admission is by donation.

Quilt patterns include Flower Urn and Star of Bethlehem as well as friendship and crazy quilts.

Objects used for other types of handicrafts such as sewing, embroidery and lace making also are featured.
