PORT ANGELES — Genre-bending writer Judith Kitchen will give a free reading at Wine on the Waterfront, the venue inside The Landing mall, this Tuesday night.
Kitchen, who lives in Port Townsend, will offer passages from two of her books in the 7 p.m. reading: In the Circus Train and Half in Shade: Family, Photography and Fate. Both explore memory, mortality and history.
Kitchen is also a novelist, poet and author of Writing the World: Understanding William Stafford, a book-length study of the late poet and pacifist.
She is the winner of two Pushcart Prizes and a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship among other awards.
Lovers of literature are invited to come early to Wine on the Waterfront, 115 E. Railroad Ave., for snacks and beverages before this North Coast Writers-hosted reading. For more details, contact Suzann Bick at 360-797-1245 or suzannbick@yahoo.com.
