PORT TOWNSEND — A Port Townsend woman was taken to Jefferson Healthcare hospital in Port Townsend following a one-vehicle rollover Friday morning at Kennedy Road and state Highway 19, according to the State Patrol.
A 2019 Nissan Leaf hatchback driven by Marie L. Cawrse, 78, was southbound on Highway 19 at 9:15 a.m. Friday when it left the roadway to the right, sheared off a utility pole and came to rest on Kennedy Road, the State Patrol incident memo said.
Cawrse, who was cited for driving with wheels off roadway, was taken to Jefferson Healthcare with unspecified injuries. Her condition later in the day was unavailable.
The wreck’s cause is under investigation. Cawrse was wearing a seatbelt, the State Patrol said, adding that the vehicle sustained reportable damage.
