The Police Department’s investigation into the Aug. 4 Aldrich’s grocery fire should be wrapping up soon.
Police Chief Kristen Anderson said Tuesday that two of three juveniles accused of inadvertently starting the blaze have been questioned.
The department hasn’t talked to the third, who lives out of the area. The case isn’t resting on whether that person can be reached, she said.
“We’ve got pretty solid evidence,” she said.
Arrests are not expected immediately, Anderson said. Instead, the case will be turned over to the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The names of the juveniles are likely to be released at that point.
