PORT TOWNSEND — City Council candidates — some on foot and at least one on bicycle — set out Monday in a last-minute effort to sway voters waiting to cast their ballots in today’s election.
Most of the electorate voting in the general election won’t be voting today — they already have via mail.
Ballots can be taken to the Jefferson County Auditor’s Office, a drop box at the Jefferson County Courthouse at 1820 Jefferson St. or to polling places before polls close at 8 tonight. They can also be mailed back, but they must be postmarked by Nov. 6.
Thirteen contested seats, including the four Port Townsend City Council positions, are up for grabs in today’s general election.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
