Port Townsend man hurt in two-vehicle wreck

PORT TOWNSEND — A 57-year old Port Townsend man suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of state highways 19 and 20, the State Patrol said.

East Jefferson Fire-Rescue was called to the scene of the wreck just after noon Tuesday. A white Toyota Corolla traveling westbound on state Highway 20 struck the rear of a Chevrolet van which was eastbound on state Highway 19 and turning left to travel westbound on Highway 20.

After an on-scene evaluation, the driver of the van, Patrick Davis, was transported to Jefferson Healthcare hospital in Port Townsend with apparent minor injuries, said State Patrol Trooper Russ Winger.

The driver of the Toyota was not injured, Winger said.

Davis was cited with failure to yield the right of way, Winger said.

Jefferson Heathcare did not respond to a query about Davis’ condition.
