PORT TOWNSEND — The former Port Townsend Lumber Co. building, a key piece of real estate in the city’s commercial district, has been sold for $1 million.
According to Shirley Rudolph of John L. Scott Real Estate in Port Townsend, the buyer is a developer who plans to divide the 15,000-square-foot store into smaller spaces.
“He’s already working with the city and his own engineers to do a nice redevelopment of the property,” Rudolph said.
“I haven’t seen the drawings, but I’ve seen the facades of several other things his company’s done. They do a very professional job.”
The sale, recorded July 1 at the Jefferson County Assessor’s Office, gives the name of the buyer as No Wine Left, a limited liability company with an address in Kirkland.
