Sleeping late this morning might be impossible because of a test of all hazardous alert broadcast systems, including the loud warning siren at the Port of Port Townsend boat yard.
The test will take place at 11 a.m., according to county Emergency Services Director Bob Hamlin.
A tone and audible voice test of the warning system will be conducted.
Hamlin said area businesses have been warned of the test.
He added that no action of citizens is required during the test period.
