Port of Port Angeles Commissioner Bill Hannan of Sequim is recovering at Providence Medical Center in Seattle following double bypass surgery on Monday.
The surgery followed a heart attack Hannan suffered on Friday.
Friends report he is “doing great.”‘
Fellow Commissioners Leonard Beil and John Calhoun said Port Executive Director Bob McChesney told them the news prior to Monday’s Port commission at which Hannan was absent.
Hannan, who represents Port Commissioner District 1, was elected in 2001. His wife, Marny, is executive director of the Sequim-Dungeness Chamber of Commerce.
