Port Ludlow man wanted for fleeing traffic stop, evading deputy

POULSBO — Port Ludlow resident Che Johnathan Salazar, 23, is wanted for fleeing a traffic stop on Sept. 13 and being in possession of a 9mm handgun, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s office.’

Deputies attempted pull Salazar over for erratic driving heading northbound on State Route 3.

Salazar stopped near Finn Hill Road, waiting for the deputy to get out of his vehicle before driving away, officials said.

Salazar was last seen headed toward State Route 104 and Kingston.

Deputies later returned to where Salazar was pulled over and found a 9mm handgun that is believed to have been thrown out the out the window by Salazar, officials said.

Anyone with information about Salazar is asked to contact the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office at 360-337-7101.
