PORT LUDLOW — An ordinance that would determine how much North Bay neighborhood residents would be assessed as part of a “drainage district” could be approved as early as next Wednesday.
The drainage district board was formed in January and charged with solving long-standing flooding problems in the area.
But an initial assessment system to determine how much each property owner would have to pay for the district has drawn criticism from a number of groups, most recently at a July 24 public hearing before county commissioners.
