PORT HADLOCK — Authorities are seeking a 17-year-old Oregon correctional facility escapee who allegedly punched a Jefferson County deputy early Tuesday morning.
Corey Hartford, a former resident of Port Townsend, allegedly assaulted a deputy after calling 9-1-1 from the Hadlock Apartments at 2:30 a.m. in an effort to save the life of a 42-year-old woman.
The woman later died and authorities are withholding her name pending notification of next of kin.
Hartford gave dispatchers several names during the call and Deputy Brian Post responded to the apartments.
